Introduction to Public Management and the traces it left on me

Hello everyone! Today I come to tell you about one of the courses that has taught me the most and that, at the same time, has made me fall in love with a career in Public Administration. This course is "Introduction to Public Management".

Within the curricular mesh of our career, this is one of the first courses taught upon entering the studies, which makes a fairly generalized review of the basic concepts that a public administrator must handle, which will be used throughout of our professional training and subsequent work. within the State Administration. These concepts address the: public problems, public policies, public management, among others.

This course clarified my doubts about whether it was a good decision to have entered the career, in addition to having convinced myself that my work as a future public servant is essential to improve the country, step by step. Throughout this course, all the participants had to carry out a research work on a public problem and the public policies that would address this situation, which generated more than a headache, but I ended up very happy when I realized that that it was what I wanted to do in the future, that's why I remember "Introduction to Public Management" so fondly.

At first I did not know very well what to expect from this course, but as the classes went by I realized that the Public Administration line is extremely important to me, and that is why they have become the courses in which the most effort and enthusiasm I have put each class and work.

Throughout my 19 years, since I was little, I have always preferred one dish to all the others. Noodles with sauce, or more formally called spaghetti, are my favorite food of my entire life. I could honestly eat this for the rest of my days, I love it! Spaghetti is a dough that is made with egg, flour, oil and salt, when it is ready it is cut to taste and boiled in water for approximately 12 minutes. This can be accompanied by different sauces, it is to your liking, it can be seafood, bolognese, alfredo, with avocado, etc. Personally, my favorites are the noodles with Bolognese sauce, this sauce has ground meat, tomato sauce, assorted vegetables such as onion, carrot and dressings also to taste. Who I Am?

Hi everyone! My name is Benjamín Urzúa Rozas, I am nineteen years old and I live in Santiago, Maipú. I am a second year student of Public Administration at the University of Chile, although I did not expect to spend my firsts years of university, studying online... that disappointd a bit. Even so, I try to do my best to make it a good year. I consider myself a persistent, committed, very cheerful and charismatic person, but sometimes I am quite unpleasant to say things.  My hobbies are reading and exercising, but I don't have much time to do them. Even so, I really like reading books about the history of Chile, science fiction and crime novels. My favorite book is "The Man in the High Castle" by Philip K. Dick. In my house we are 4 people, my mom, my dad, my brother and me. We are quite calm and close, and we are always there for each other when they need it. Smartphones, a Tool or a Necessity?

In mid-2021, it is very strange that people do not have technological devices, since we are in the middle of the digital age, where technology has become our best friend and makes our lives 100% easier. Right now, my favorite technology is my smartphone, as I use it for many things, and all very different. I had my first cell phone when I was 12 years old, and I basically used it to listen to music or play games, nowadays its use is too wide, I use it for university things, like reviewing exams or looking for information on Google, to keep in touch with my friends and loved ones, which in these current times of pandemic has been very useful to continue feeling close. In addition, I also use my smartphone to distract myself and relax after college, listening to music, watching funny videos, informing myself on topics that interest me, calling my friends or playing Call of Duty Mobile with my little brother (serves to de-stress from university).
