Introduction to Public Management and the traces it left on me

Imagen
Hello everyone! Today I come to tell you about one of the courses that has taught me the most and that, at the same time, has made me fall in love with a career in Public Administration. This course is "Introduction to Public Management". Within the curricular mesh of our career, this is one of the first courses taught upon entering the studies, which makes a fairly generalized review of the basic concepts that a public administrator must handle, which will be used throughout of our professional training and subsequent work. within the State Administration. These concepts address the: public problems, public policies, public management, among others. This course clarified my doubts about whether it was a good decision to have entered the career, in addition to having convinced myself that my work as a future public servant is essential to improve the country, step by step. Throughout this course, all the participants had to carry out a research work on a public problem and th...

The History of Chile and Mario Amoros

Imagen
Hello everyone! In this post I am going to talk about a person whom I admire a lot and I have become a faithful follower of his work and his writings. This person is the spanish journalist and historian Mario Amoros. Mario Amoros was born on August 11, 1973 in the city of Alicante. His work has focused mainly on investigations and reports from Chile and Spain, where mainly the topics talk about political events and events in these countries, as well as biographies of prominent and controversial figures within their social and political role, for example: Pablo Neruda, Salvador Allende, Augusto Pinochet, Miguel Enriquez, among many others. Since 2020 I began to follow this writer, because a teacher from the HIPACH course put fragments of this author's texts as a reference to one of the questions that we had to answer in the test. When I read it, I realized that his way of describing the history of Chile was like a literary narrative, it was like telling a story, so I wanted to know ...

Public Administration, Engine of Change

Imagen
Hello everyone! Today, I will talk about what is the contribution that public administration has in our world, how it affects, and what is my perception during this long but wonderful process, from my personal perception. To begin, studying public administration was not one of my first options, first of all i wanted to be a doctor, and then sociologist, but despite everything, I always wanted a specialization that would have an effect on society, something that allows me to make the world a little better place. Thus, after a few months and through various tests of professional profiles and psychological tests, i discovered public administration, coincidentally, Chile was going through a deep political and social crisis known as the "Social Outbreak" due to the high mistrust and lack of good governance in our country, it was at that moment that i decided that i wanted to contribute to change the system, and make Chile a fairer country. How can my major affect the world? I thin...

How can you not like them?

Throughout my 19 years, since I was little, I have always preferred one dish to all the others. Noodles with sauce, or more formally called spaghetti, are my favorite food of my entire life. I could honestly eat this for the rest of my days, I love it! Spaghetti is a dough that is made with egg, flour, oil and salt, when it is ready it is cut to taste and boiled in water for approximately 12 minutes. This can be accompanied by different sauces, it is to your liking, it can be seafood, bolognese, alfredo, with avocado, etc. Personally, my favorites are the noodles with Bolognese sauce, this sauce has ground meat, tomato sauce, assorted vegetables such as onion, carrot and dressings also to taste. I really don't know why I like noodles so much, some people may consider it a boring simple meal but I love that it can be eaten with anything, a different sauce every day, it is so versatile, it tastes delicious too. and it is a hot dish. It is important to know that although I love this f...

My Graduation Party

Imagen
Hello everyone! Today I come to tell you one of the most special and crazy stories that I have lived in my life. In these photos you can see the day of my graduation party in my last year of high school, for which we had worked and fought so hard during the last two years of school. It wasn't easy for the money, but we made sure everyone could be with their families that day. I think that day was the last time I saw all my colleagues sharing together, enjoying, eating, drinking, celebrating ... it was something totally unique and unrepeatable. The people in the photos are my best friends, who I keep in touch with to this day. Those true friends that you can always count on, regardless of the difficulties or problems that may arise in your life, and that despite the distance or that each one is studying something different, they will always be there for you. That is why I look at these photos and I remember these moments with so much love, joy and affection. Despite all this joy and...

Smartphones, a Tool or a Necessity?

Imagen
In mid-2021, it is very strange that people do not have technological devices, since we are in the middle of the digital age, where technology has become our best friend and makes our lives 100% easier. Right now, my favorite technology is my smartphone, as I use it for many things, and all very different. I had my first cell phone when I was 12 years old, and I basically used it to listen to music or play games, nowadays its use is too wide, I use it for university things, like reviewing exams or looking for information on Google, to keep in touch with my friends and loved ones, which in these current times of pandemic has been very useful to continue feeling close. In addition, I also use my smartphone to distract myself and relax after college, listening to music, watching funny videos, informing myself on topics that interest me, calling my friends or playing Call of Duty Mobile with my little brother (serves to de-stress from university). Based on this, I would say that my smartph...

From "Micrero" to Public Administrator

Imagen
Hello everyone, I really did not know how to start this blog, because when you are little you dream of doing many things, having different professions and dedicating yourself to different functions in life, my biggest dream as a child was to be a "micrero". "I even made my own tickets to pretend I had my own bus and had people on board. When I grew up, my aspirations began to change, and I realized that I wanted to dedicate myself to other kinds of things, so I had to push myself to achieve it. One of my first options when I was in school was to study Medicine or Sociology, totally opposite careers, but I liked them a lot because of what could be done within them. However, with the passage of time, choosing the Public Administration was not such a difficult decision. From my days at school I realized that I had a vocation for service and that I wanted to make a change in the country, since I always got involved in social or solidarity activities to help the community, so...
